Each year, the world celebrates Urban October, an opportunity for all of us to contribute to the conversation about sustainable urbanization. In 2020, Urban October will commence on Mon, 05 Oct with World Habitat Day and end on Sat, 31 Oct with World Cities Day. Throughout the entire month, national and local governments, NGOs, civil society organisations, academic institutions, private firms and many others will hold events to raise awareness about urbanization issues and discuss opportunities to jointly shape a better urban future.
The Global Future Cities Programme partners will contribute to Urban October with knowledge sharing sessions, webinars, and a series of panel discussions on the 30 projects of the Programme.
