During peak lockdown restrictions in Turkey due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Arup facilitated the participation of 142 professionals and representatives from 67 public, private and civic institutions in four online workshops between 20th - 23rd April 2020 within the scope of Participatory Urban Planning Implementation Model, Training and Capacity Development Programme for Istanbul. This was the first time Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality ever organised workshops of this nature using digital tools; Arup Team mobilised a wide range of experienced specialists from universities and within industry, as well as specialist from Arup's international working environment.
